From the very first call, Ranjani was a delight! Reassuring and exceptionally creative, Ranjani really put her heart and soul into ideating the vision for the invites. The brief given to her was to make a timeless invitation with a gentle nostalgic nod to our South Indian heritage. Despite having all interactions only via telephone- we quickly bonded over our South Indian sentiments, idiosyncrasies of planning an Indian wedding and the general banter of everyday life. In the process, we were able to connect on a personal level and incorporate elements from my “story” in the sweetest ways that I could not have imagined. My invite was made of multiple cards for various events and the entire theme was based on an ancestral home getting ready to host a wedding. Elements from my story, my culture, my heritage and even my grandmother’s names were beautifully incorporated in subtle but clever ways in the artwork. The beauty of the invites was not just the stunning scenery and artwork that is sketched but rather in the little quirky details that are left to interpretation, invoking a sense of nostalgia and warmth with every discovery- my wedding invites were truly a piece of art.
Ranjani is a complete perfectionist when it comes to the final creative output- even minor details that would miss my eye would never be missed by her. She envisioned and sketched from scratch stunning complex scenery all in a tight timeline. She did in-depth research on the most authentic visual representation of cultural elements- since we were both keen on ensuring the artwork was tasteful and elegant and not cartoon-ish. For my digital invites, she relentlessly made iterations to the animations till we were both happy with the final output- all within one month of reaching out, whilst having multiple ongoing projects. At the end of the process, I felt like I worked on a group project with a longtime friend and it easily became my most favourite part of wedding planning.
It is a pleasure to work with people who have such specific eye for detail- it makes the actual process enjoyable for the couple because one can blindly have faith that quality is assured since the vendor has such high integrity. In an industry where soul and integrity is paradoxically challenging to find, Ranjani and her work stand out thanks to her absolute commitment to do her best for her clients and her craft.

Working with Ranjani was one of the most pleasant experiences we had while planning the wedding of our daughter. When we started researching for the agency that would create a perfect invitation for the wedding, we came across many that could potentially offer the unique and personalized invite. Where do I begin! It was pure chance that I stumbled upon PWM just weeks before the wedding, in a state of complete unpreparedness and panic. Ranjani is a magician! Having heard nothing but praises of her work from my friends, I was already a follower on Instagram long before I had even met my fiancé! Naturally when the time came for my wedding card, she was the only person I reached out to! I paid her home studio a visit and fell in love with all the cards. I finally chose one with an art theme. The color schemes, the stunning translation of original paintings into Indian art, the gorgeous canvas paper finish, the tiny Ganesha on the face of the card- I had never seen anything like it before and I just had to have it!!
